1. Who We Are

PriceAction AI ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at priceaction.it.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information — When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed (encrypted) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Chart Images — When you upload a chart for analysis, we process the image to generate AI commentary. Images are not permanently stored after analysis is complete.

Trade Journal Data — Any trades, notes, or outcomes you log in the journal are stored in your account in our database.

Payment Information — Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe handles all payment data under their own Privacy Policy.

Usage Data — We may collect basic usage information such as which features you use, error logs, and general platform activity to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To process your chart uploads and return AI analyses
To store your trade journal entries
To process subscription payments through Stripe
To send important account-related emails (e.g. password resets, billing)
To improve the platform based on usage patterns
To enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, a cloud database hosted on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security practices including:

Password hashing using scrypt (never stored in plain text)
HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
JWT-based authentication tokens
Restricted database access with credentials management

While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk and should use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic (Claude AI) — powers the chart analysis engine. Chart images are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
Vercel — hosts our platform. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
MongoDB Atlas — stores account and journal data. Subject to MongoDB's Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies

We use minimal browser storage (localStorage) to keep you logged in between sessions via an authentication token. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your trade journal data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our Discord community or the platform's support channel.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance reasons (e.g. billing records).

9. Children's Privacy

PriceAction AI is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
